“After an eternity of seeking, the sudden threshold of seeing and finding leaves one filled with a strange paradox of ecstasy and grief. I was born to see. How strange that a part of the self grieves for blindness? But this too shall pass.
For what is it to be blind, but to find safety in the darkness and to become the spouse of habit whose name is ignorance? We chase the carrot but find its taste bittersweet. Facing our greatness seems to be harder than facing our smallness. So accustomed have we become to the tight fit of our clothes that nakedness frightens us and takes getting used to. So for now I will adjust to the feel of my skin bare against the elements and free of confines.
Certainly a part of the grief is the isolation of seeing in a world of blindness. There is a pain to seeing many butterflies trapped in their cocoons and a necessary respect for the caterpillar to. To be a butterfly is neither a desire, nor a sought after role, but is simply to be true to ones inherent nature. The caterpillar only remains a caterpillar when he has forgotten his butterfly Self and resists his natural growth. Have courage dear butterfly, your wings may be fragile but they will take you home.”

Teachings on: “Feeling powerless”
What makes a setback painful and potentially so destructive, is that it renders us feeling powerless! When we feel powerless, we become paralysed. To re-empower ourselves, to rise out of the ashes, we must reclaim our power again.
True power is not something that can be found in your outer world. It is an inner experience, an inner knowing that you can reclaim. The definition of power is as follows:
POWER = RESPONSIBILITY + CHOICE.
To empower yourself: Find, create and build choices.

Teachings on: “Relationship”
The most important thing relationships hope to teach us is accountability for our own “issues”. We are often blind to the fact that relationships do reflect our issues back to us in a very real and sometimes painful way. Relationships therefore offer profound opportunities for growth. Sometimes we want another to love us perfectly because we are afraid or stopping ourselves from loving who we are completely – flaws and all. Interestingly, the qualities in others that ‘get to us’ the most are usually reflected as opposite unhealed qualities in us. For example, if you are too responsible and afraid of letting go and making mistakes – you will be upset by what you perceive to be irresponsible qualities in others. If you suppress what you want to say, people who speak freely and openly may irritate you. Our relationships do reflect us back to ourselves, and like mirrors they are paradoxically the same image but in reverse. Relationships often trigger our buttons so that we can find them and heal them ourselves. Blaming or running will not heal our wounds and buttons.
Sometimes we think that we are being courageous by shutting our hearts to others, but in fact it takes more courage to stand in the fire with someone and love.

The untouchable self
Life can take your things, it can take your beauty, it can even take your body.
Life experiences may take a lot from you, but there are a few precious commodities that no one and no thing can ever take from you, (unless you let them go by choice).
Life can't take your capacity to experience beauty, to love and be loved, to create the feeling of peace, to draw wisdom from life and from within, to be creative and express yourself, it can't take your sense of humour or your ability to heal emotional pain, your freedom to cry and to laugh, your freedom to question and think, your capacity to learn and to grow, your ability to know yourself, your intuition.... it can't take what is eternally real and it can't take what was never confined to the flesh and to the temporary... it can't take your soul.
To heal from life’s pain and to find your ay back to being equal to your life, find the “untouchable” parts of you that no one or no thing can claim or damage without your choice. Then claim these qualities, breathe them back into your life and help your body to feel your true power again.

Teachings on: “light and dark”
Picture two rooms; one is light and the other dark. There is a door in-between.
When you open the door what happens? Does the dark fight the light?
No.
Is there a war at the doorway?
No.
Are dark and light equal and opposing forces?
No.
When the door is opened, the light simply floods the dark room. What is the truth about the darkness? Darkness is merely an absence of light. It is emptiness, and the light room is full. We all have dark parts of ourselves, and they too are just empty.
The light is knowledge, truth and soul.
How does it feel to live in the dark room? It feels frightening and ignorant. That is what darkness breeds – fear and ignorance.
What part of you lives in a dark room? How can you shed some light?

Teaching on: “Wholeness”
“Twenty people look at a sunset, but only six people see its beauty… Why?
Has the sunset failed the other fourteen people?
Has the sunset given less of its beauty to some and more to others?
What is the truth?... The truth is that the sunset cannot give us anything. The truth is that ONLY if beauty is free within us, it will rise to meet the sunset.
Life, like the sunset, cannot give you the experience of anything. It cannot give you love, peace, worth, joy or beauty. Only you can free these parts of yourself to rise to meet your life.”
